PLAYBETUSA’S NFL WEEK #7 PREDICTIONS, PICKS AND ODDS 2021

Philadelphia Eagles at Las Vegas Raiders

October 24th – 4:05 pm ET – Allegiant Stadium

After all the controversy surrounding Jon Gruden and the Las Vegas Raiders, they managed to pull off an important victory in Rich Basaccia’s first game as head coach. They earned a tough win in Denver against the Broncos to prove that they can get the job done regardless of who is coaching them. A win against the Philadelphia Eagles will see them improve to 5-2 on the season heading into their bye week.

Philadelphia kept it closer than most thought they would last week against the defending Super Bowl champions the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but ultimately they fell short at home. They will find it tough against a good Raiders side on Sunday afternoon, but have the ability to ensure the game is a competitive one.

Despite what should be a close contest, the Raiders are more than capable of covering the 3.5 points they are favored by – especially on home field heading into a bye week. Go with the home side and the over in this one.

ODDS: Las Vegas (-3.5)
Over/Under: 49.5

Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans

October 24th – 1:00 pm ET – Nissan Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs have not looked like the dominant team we have seen over the past couple of years, but they are still stacked with weapons and a force to be reckoned with. Despite having lost three games already, Chiefs fans still seem to have plenty of faith in Patrick Mahomes and company to perform when it matters most. They have been to back-to-back Super Bowls and believe they can get there again, but will need to start picking up the pace.

Tennessee are coming off a short week after a crucial victory against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Truth is, they were largely outplayed by the Bills but their defense were able to get important stops when they needed it and Derrik Henry rushed for three touchdowns.

It feels odd to see the visitors favored by nearly a touchdown given the Titans’ victory last week at home. Go with Tennessee to cover the spread, even though the Chiefs may ultimately win the game outright.

ODDS: Kansas City (-5.5)
Over/Under: 57.5

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

October 24th– 1:00 pm ET – M&T Bank Stadium

Fans of both the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals will be happy with how the season as played out thus far, but Sunday’s contest between the two top teams in the AFC North could have serious playoff implications.

Lamar Jackson is demonstrating that he is an elite quarterback, despite what the critics have said in recent seasons. He has the Ravens 5-1 and looking to cement their spot atop the division with a crucial win at home against a good Bengals side.

Cincinnati are coming off a blowout win over the Detroit Lions last week and still need to prove they are legitimate contenders in the AFC. A victory in Baltimore would go a long way in proving that. They will feel a bit disrespected being 6.5-point underdogs, even though they are 4-2 on the campaign with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Expect to see an intense game between two heated rivals when these sides lock horns on Sunday afternoon. Go with the visitors to cover though in what should be a tight contest. The under is also worth laying money on.

New York Jets at New England Patriots

October 24th– 1:00 pm ET – Gillette Stadium

The New England Patriots have not been the same team since Tom Brady left for Tampa Bay prior to the start of last season, but they have made progress since his departure and will be looking to pick up their third win of the year with a victory over the woeful New York Jets on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots have been on the wrong end of some close games in recent weeks, including last Sunday when they fell to the Dallas Cowboys in overtime. They shouldn’t have any issues getting past the Jets this weekend though.

However, despite being just 1-4 on the season, New York did pull off a massive upset a couple of weeks ago against the Tennessee Titans to earn their only win. They will be looking to shock the Patriots in similar fashion at Gillette Stadium in week seven.

Bill Belichik will be well prepared though, so don’t expect to see an upset in this one. Go with the home team to cover the spread and improve to 3-4 on the season.

ODDS: New England (-7.5)
Over/Under: 42.5

Houston Texans at Arizona Cardinals

October 24th– 4:25 pm ET – University of Phoenix Stadium

Nobody was expecting the Arizona Cardinals to be the only undefeated team in the entire NFL after six weeks of action, but they remain perfect after some impressive wins early in the season. They welcome the Houston Texans to University of Phoenix Stadium in a game that most anticipate will be over by halftime.

The Texans are 1-5 on the season after losing their last five consecutive contests. They remain one of the worst teams in the league and will be in for a long day against the Cardinals.

After embarrassing the Cleveland Browns on the road last week, the Cardinals will be even more confident heading into this one. They are the biggest favorites of the week with the spread sitting at 17.5-points, but considering how Houston have performed against top teams it shouldn’t be too concerning to take them regardless. Go with the home team to dismantle their opponents early and cover the points.

PICKS: Arizona

ODDS: Arizona (-17.5)
Over/Under: 47.5
