PLAYBETUSA’S NFL WEEK #14 PREDICTIONS, PICKS AND ODDS 2021

Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings

December 9th – 8:20 pm ET – U.S. Bank Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers pulled off a massive victory against AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens in week 13 at Heinz Field to keep their playoff hopes alive. They will need another big win on Thursday night though if they want to have a realistic opportunity to qualify for the postseason for the second consecutive season, so expect to see a motivated side at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Minnesota Vikings became the first team this season to lose to the Detroit Lions, when they conceded a last-second touchdown at Ford Field in week 13. Despite their 5-7 record, they still have a chance of reaching the playoffs, but will need to start gaining momentum and cannot afford a loss against the Steelers on home field.

Expect to see an intense affair in prime time on Thursday night, with two teams desperate for a victory. The Steelers are 3.5-point underdogs though and should be able to keep the game close, even if they cannot win outright.

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team

December 12th – 1:00 pm ET – FedEx Field

On Sunday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys get set to play Washington Football Team for the first of two meetings between these two rivals within the next three weeks. The Cowboys remain atop the NFC East sitting two games up on Washington, making their week 14 tilt all the more important. Expect an intense affair between two sides that do not like each other.

Washington have now won four consecutive games and are making a real playoff push in the NFC. A win on Sunday would put them right in the hunt for a second straight division title. They are 3-3 at FedEx Field this season and no win would be more important to their fans and in the standings than one over the Cowboys in week 14.

The visitors enter the contest as 4.5-point favorites, despite Washington’s run of fine form. Take the home team to keep the game close, as they could potentially even win it outright.

ODDS: Dallas (-4.5)
Over/Under: 48.5

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns

December 12th– 1:00 pm ET – FirstEnergy Stadium

The Baltimore Ravens went for the victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 13 with a last-second two-point conversion attempt instead of taking the one point and going to overtime. As a result, just two games separate the top team in the division and the bottom team, and we should be in for a tight race right until the final week of the regular season.

The Cleveland Browns are 6-6 after losing to the Ravens in week 12. They’ve had week 13 off as their bye week and prepare to play Baltimore for the second consecutive game. They managed to keep it close at M&T Bank Stadium but struggled offensively. They will need to find a way to score touchdowns if they have any chance of pulling off a victory.

The Ravens come into the contest as 2.5-point underdogs and should be able to win the game outright. Take Baltimore and the under on Sunday.

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

December 12th – 1:00 pm ET – Arrowhead Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs are starting to look unstoppable, winning five consecutive games including against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. The Chiefs are aiming to reach their third Super Bowl in a row and currently lead the AFC West with an 8-4 record. The Los Angeles Chargers are just a single game behind them though and the Chiefs understand they cannot afford to rest on their laurels.

The Raiders started off the season with so much promise, but have now lost four of their last five games and are having a difficult time competing since losing wide receiver Henry Ruggs III. The Raiders will have a hard time keeping up with the Chiefs’ explosive offense on Sunday afternoon.

The home team come into the contest as massive 9.5-point favorites and rightfully so. This one could be over before it even starts, with the Chiefs humiliating the Raiders for the second time this season. The over is also worth laying money on.

Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals

December 13th – 8:15 pm ET – University of Phoenix Stadium

The Los Angeles Rams will meet the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium in a massive NFC West showdown between the top two teams in the division. The Rams ended a three-game losing streak on Sunday in week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will be looking to keep momentum going against the Cardinals on Monday night.

The Cardinals got the better of the Rams in week four when they met in St. Louis and a win on Monday would go a long way in solidifying an NFC West division title. Arizona have been better on the road than at home this season, but will still like their chances of getting the job done on home field and improving to 11-2 on the season.

The home team are modest 2.5-point favorites coming into the clash. The Rams haven’t proven they are an elite team, while the Cardinals continue to surprise people. Take Arizona to pick up another massive win.

The Buffalo Bills were supposed to cruise to their second consecutive AFC East title this season, but Mac Jones and the New England Patriots had other plans. Winners of their last six straight games, the Patriots are flying high heading into their crucial week 13 battle against the Buffalo Bills.

The Patriots sit half a game up on the Bills for top spot in the AFC East, with a record of 8-4. A win on the road on Monday night would go a long way in helping them regain the AFC East division title. However, they will be up against a motivated Bills side that dominated the New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving in week 12. While these two teams will meet one more time this season in week 16, the Bills know they cannot afford to slip up on home field.

The Bills enter the contest as minor 2.5-point favorites and should be able to get the job done at Highmark Stadium on Monday. The over is also worth laying money considering how low it has been set.
