PLAYBETUSA’S NFL WEEK #12 PREDICTIONS, PICKS AND ODDS 2021

Detroit Lions at Cleveland Browns

November 25th – 12:30 pm ET – Ford Field

Detroit Lions fans may not be feeling very thankful during the holidays this season, as they continue to struggle regardless of who is playing quarterback for them. Tim Boyle made his debut in place of the injured Jared Goff against the Cleveland Browns in week 11, but the Lions still came away with the loss. They are now 0-9-1 and the only team in the entire NFL without at least one victory.

The Chicago Bears have now lost five straight games and will be desperate to not be the first team to lose to the Lions this season. Quarterback Justin Fields is listed as questionable for the contest, as he is suffering from a rib injury that he picked up against the Baltimore Ravens in week 11. He Is unlikely to play and could be a real loss for the visitors on Thursday.

The Bears may be a better team than the Lions, but they shouldn’t be favored by three. Go with Detroit to cover the spread and possibly even win the game outright in front of their home fans.

PICKS: Detroit

ODDS: Chicago (-3.5)
Over/Under: 41.5

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants

November 28th – 1:00 pm ET – MetLife Stadium

Don’t look now, but the Philadelphia Eagles have won three of their last four games and are aiming to make a push for a playoff spot in the competitive NFC. They are still 2.5 games back of NFC East leaders the Dallas Cowboys, but a win against the Giants on Sunday will improve their record to a respectable 6-6 on the season with five games still to play.

The New York Giants, on the other hand, are coming off a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. They will have a shorter week to prepare for the Eagles, but will still be hoping to pick up a victory in front of their home fans.

The visitors come into the contest as 3.5-point favorites and understandably so given how they’ve played in recent weeks. While the Giants will look to keep the score tight, go with the Eagles to cover the spread with a big victory. The over may also be worth laying money on as well.

PICKS: Philadelphia

ODDS: Philadelphia (-3.5)
Over/Under: 46.5

Buffalo Bills at New Orleans Saints

November 25th– 8:20 pm ET – Mercedes-Benz Superdome

The Buffalo Bills entered the season as one of the favorites to escape the AFC and reach the Super Bowl. But with losses to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts in recent weeks, fans are starting to question just how good of a team they are. Their offensive line has struggled to protect quarterback Josh Allen and they will need to figure it out quickly if they have any chance of stopping the surging New England Patriots in the AFC East.

The New Orleans Saints have not been the same team since starting quarterback Jameis Winston went down against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Halloween. They have lost three straight games and will be in for a tough time against an angry Bills side on Thanksgiving.

The Bills are listed as 4.5-point favorites and it’s not hard to see why, even after their recent issues. Go with the Bills to win big in New Orleans with the over also a great option.

ODDS: Buffalo (-4.5)
Over/Under: 46.5

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

November 28th – 8:20 pm ET – MT&T Bank Stadium

The Baltimore Ravens were shocked in prime time in week 11, slipping against the abysmal Miami Dolphins. However, they still remain in first place in the NFC North, but by only one game. They will need to pick up the victory on Sunday to solidify their spot atop the standings, but it could be a more daunting challenge than they realize.

The Cleveland Browns have not been great in recent weeks, but have still won two of their last three games and will not be intimidated by their opponents or the atmosphere on Sunday night. Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield is listed as questionable for the occasion, but it would be shocking if he didn’t get the start in such an important game.

The Ravens are listed as 4.5-point favorites by the bookmakers, but given the importance of this game it could come down to the very last second. Go with the visitors to cover the spread, even if they ultimately lose the game outright.

PICKS: Cleveland

ODDS: Baltimore (-4.5)
Over/Under: 46

Seattle Seahawks at Washington Football Team

November 29th – 8:15 pm ET – FedEx Field

The season hasn’t exactly gone according to plan for the Seattle Seahawks, who really struggled when starting quarterback Russel Wilson was forced to miss significant time with an injury. Despite his return to the lineup though, Seattle have still had a difficult time picking up wins and find themselves with a 3-7 record heading into their matchup with Washington on Monday night.

Washington now sit third in the NFC East with a 4-6 record after picking up back-to-back wins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers. They have played the best football we’ve seen from them all season since coming off of their bye week in week nine of the campaign and will be looking to keep the good times rolling against the Seahawks.

Seattle are listed as minor 1.5-point favorites, despite being on the road and having an inferior overall record. However, this will be a tough game to call as it really could go either way. Stick with the over on Monday night as it should be the safest play.

PICKS: Over

ODDS: Seattle (-1.5)
Over/Under: 45.5
