MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS AT PENN STATE NITTANY LIONS
December 12th – 3:30 pm ET – Beaber Stadium
Both programs have just two wins in the season thus far, but Penn State is coming off impressive victories in back-to-back weeks against Rutgers and Michigan. While they have struggled against the country’s elite, they have looked good when playing inferior competition.
Michigan State isn’t necessarily inferior competition though. While they did lose to Rutgers, they also beat Michigan and came up with a big victory against the number 14 ranked team in the nation – Northwestern – just a couple of weeks ago.
Neither team is an elite side, but both can compete when pushed and we could be in for a closer contest than most anticipate. The visitors may not win outright on Saturday, but take them to cover the rather large spread. The total is also set rather low, so it may be worth it to lay some money on the over at Beaver Stadium as well.

MICHIGAN WOLVERINES AT OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
December 12th– 12:00 pm ET – Ohio Stadium
The Ohio State Buckeyes have proven they are an elite side in the country, sitting at 5-0 with impressive victories against the likes of Indiana and Nebraska. They are currently the fourth ranked team in the nation and will be looking to solidify their place within the top five with a convincing win against an abysmal Michigan side.
The Wolverines have just two wins on the campaign and are coming off a disappointing 27-17 loss at home to Penn State last weekend. While they have actually been better on the road than at home this season with both their victories coming away from Michigan Stadium, don’t expect them to do much against the Buckeyes.
Ohio State beat Nebraska 52-17 in the opening game of the season at Ohio Stadium and we could be in for a similar result this Saturday as well. Take the home team to cover the spread with the over also looking like a wise bet.

ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE AT ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS
December 12th– 12:00 pm ET – Razorback Stadium
The Arkansas Razorbacks are coming off three consecutive losses and things don’t get any easier for them as they welcome the best team in the country on Saturday afternoon. While they do have two wins at home this season, they came against Mississippi and Tennessee which are nowhere near the level of Alabama.
The Crimson Tide are 9-0 and are looking to keep the good times rolling. As long as they don’t get caught looking ahead to their game against the Florida Gators next weekend, Alabama should have their way against Arkansas.
The spread is set enormously high at 32, but the Crimson Tide have had no issues covering large spreads and dominating teams in the past. They’ve won each of their last six games by at least 29 points and will be looking to win big at Razorback Stadium as well. Go with Alabama but avoid the total as it remains to be seen how many points the home side will be able to put up.

WISCONSIN BADGERS AT IOWA HAWKEYES
December 12th – 3:30 pm ET –Kinnick Stadium
Iowa welcomes Wisconsin in one of the most important games of the year for both programs. The visitors are coming off consecutive losses against teams ranked within the top 20 and need to prove they can beat a quality team in their final game of the regular season.
The Hawkeyes come into Saturday’s contest red hot as they have won their last five straight games and believe they should be ranked higher than 19th. They will feel disrespected entering Kinnick Stadium as underdogs this weekend and will be looking to send a signal of intent to the rest of the nation with a big victory.
While Wisconsin is ranked 16th in the country, they haven’t done much this season to justify it and could be in for a lot of trouble against a motivated and confident Iowa team. Go with the Hawkeyes to pick up their sixth straight win of the season.

NORTH CAROLINA TAR HEELS AT MIAMI HURRICANES
December 12th – 3:30 pm ET – Hard Rock Stadium
The Miami Hurricanes have played just one team ranked within the top 20 this season and it is the only blemish on their record. A brutal 42-17 beating at the hands of Clemson is their only loss of the season. A victory over the number 17 ranked Tar Heels would go a long way in proving they are a top team in the nation.
North Carolina will represent quite the daunting task though, having won three of their last four games. They’ve picked up wins against Boston College and Duke on the road already this season and shouldn’t be too intimidated heading into Hard Rock Stadium.
We should be in for tightly contested affair, but the Hurricanes haven’t lost at home this season, and don’t expect them to on Saturday. Take the home side to cover the points in a game that will likely go under the rather high total.
